Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the lesson you will be able to:

• Diagnose paediatric asthma based on asthma phenotype.
• Discuss common asthma triggers and avoidance strategies in the management of your paediatric asthma patients.
• Apply Canadian paediatric guideline based treatment strategies for your paediatric asthma patients.
• Address common parent concerns regarding the treatment of asthma including adherence and adverse effects.
• Work with your patients and their parents to develop an asthma management strategy.

This program meets the accreditation criteria of The College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been accredited for up to 1.5 Mainpro-M1 credits. Physicians in all provinces, including Quebec, may claim credit for completing the program.
